Imaginary Music (2010) describes an experience I frequently associate with ambient sound. I often believe that I am listening to music only to come to the abrupt realization that I am having an aural hallucination triggered by the sounds and rhythms of the background noise of my environment. The audio for this piece is primarily derived from my bathroom fan. This piece is something of a guided audio tour of the fan, returning in the end to the pure fan noise. Please listen carefully at the end for any music you hear in this sound, be it real or imposed.
